Dallas Mavericks president of basketball operations and general manager Donnie Nelson praised the athletic abilities of Greek forward Kostas Antetokounmpo, following the signing of the player to a two-way contract.

“He’s a great rim runner and a great athlete. We’re really excited about his potential,” Nelson said per Dallas News.

Kostas Antetokounmpo, the younger brother of Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, was selected by the Mavericks with the 60th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. He joined Dallas in the Summer League and showed a fragment of the potential that impressed Nelson and the Mavs enough to offer him the two-way contract.

Over four games against the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls and the Washington Wizards, 20-year-old Antetokounmpo notched 5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 1.3 steals, averaging just 11.8 minutes per game. His latest output was a 10-point (plus one block and one steal ) performance during 11 minutes, in the 96 – 92 win over the Wizards.
