Bogdan Bogdanovic: I think we are on the right path and we have a bright future

Belgrade – Bogdan Bogdanovic, the rising star of European basketball. He helped Fenerbahce win the first EuroLeague title in club history (2016-17) as well as his own and decided to raise the bar by moving to the NBA.

He joined the Sacramento Kings and had a fairly good individual rookie season but admits that he isn’t used to his team not being in the top: “It was a pretty good season and I can’t regret any moment of it but it wasn’t as successful teamwise as I’m used to. I think we are on the right path and have a bright future”, Bogdanovic told Eurohoops during the Basketball Without Borders camp.

His transition to the NBA was certainly made easier by having Serbian legends Vlade Divac and Peja Stojakovic in the Kings managing board but he is looking forward to having Nemanja Bjelica on the court with him next season: “I already had two guys to speak to in Serbian over there which helped me a lot. Now, I have another one on the court which is going to help me even more.”
