Dino Radja on HOF induction: I waited for Ashton Kutcher to tell me I was being punked

Croatian basketball legend Dino Radja has known that he will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall Of Fame for months, but still can’t believe that this great honor is bestowed upon him.

This dream-come-true momentous recognition seemed so unreal for Radja that he thought that someone will tell him that all this is not real but just a practical joke.

“For six months, I have been looking around every corner waiting for Ashton Kutcher to tell me I was being punked,” Radja said per Sporting News’ Sean Denevey, during his speech today’s (6/9), as he and the other Class of 2018 inductees received their HOF orange jackets.

Radja was quite overwhelmed by emotions during his speech. “This is something, I can’t explain my feelings right now,” he also said.

A former world champion with the Yugoslavian national team, two-time EuroLeague winner with Jugoplastica and multi-medalist on all levels with the teams of Yugoslavia and Croatia, Radja will be officially inducted into the Hall Of Fame in the enshrinement ceremony Friday (7/9). He becomes the eighth European Hall Of Famer and the third Croatian player to receive the honor after the Kresimir Cocic and, of course, Drazen Petrovic.
