Boston Celtics guard Jabari Bird has been arrested and facing charges for assault, strangling and kidnapping, according to TMZ.
Bird will be charged for these offenses on Monday (10/9). He’s currently being guarded by the police at a Boston hospital where he’s undergoing a “psychological evaluation.”
TMZ also reports that the incident is a domestic violence case.
The Celtics issued the following statement on Bird’s arrest: “We are aware of the incident involving Jabari Bird and are taking it very seriously. We are actively gathering information and will reserve further comment at this time.”
