Luka Doncic didn’t get the win for the Dallas Mavericks against the L.A. Lakers but left Staples Center with a prized possession: A signed jersey of his idol, Lebron James.
Following the game between the two teams, Doncic headed towards the Lakers’ locker room where he was given the jersey by a team official. After receiving his gift, the 19-year-old Slovenian player went back to his team’s locker with a wide open smile.
“I always wanted his jersey. It was something special to me,” Doncic said afterward.
