Deandre Ayton went first and Marvin Bagley III followed him in this year’s NBA Draft, but 3rd place Luka Doncic is the early favorite for the NBA Rookie of the Year honors. As of Saturday night, the Slovenian wonder kid is averaging 20.2 points per game. It’s not only his record-breaking scoring touch, as his 6.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists per match prove.
The last few days, Doncic has been dealing with a left knee injury and briefly exited the Dallas Mavericks game against the Oklahoma City Thunder due a right knee injury, but neither any injury or his opponents seem able to slow him down. He instead led his team to victory sinking 22 points, dishing eight assists and grabbing six rebounds in 31 minutes.
