Luka Doncic fined for kicking the ball into crowd

Luka Doncic was fined $10,000 for kicking the ball into the crowd of the game of the Dallas Mavericks against the Indiana Pacers, January 19, the NBA announced.

With three minutes left to play in the third period, Doncic kicked the ball after a tip-in by Domantas Sabonis made it 78 – 65 for the Pacers. The Slovenian point forward received his second technical foul (he got his first after a protest at the end of the first half) and got ejected for the first time this season.

Per NBA:

Dallas Mavericks guard-forward Luka Dončić has been fined $10,000 for kicking the game ball into the spectator stands, it was announced today by Kiki VanDeWeghe, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.

The incident, for which Dončić was assessed his second technical foul and ejected, occurred with 3:00 remaining in the third quarter of the Mavericks’ 111-99 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Jan. 19 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
