Arturas Gudaitis: I’m closer to the NBA than ever before

Arturas Gudaitis might be a Milan player since September of 2017, but his NBA rights are owned by the Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2015 he was selected in the NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, but the organization sent his rights to the Sacramento Kings one month later. The Cavs acquired him last February and have since let the Lithuanian center know of their interest.

Gudaitis revealed he recently had dinner with Koby Altman, GM of the Ohio organization, in Italy. He told BasketNews.lt what was discussed: “They asked me if I want to play for the Cavaliers. Of course I do”.

“The Cavaliers want to see me after the season is over. We’ll know specifics in the summer” he also said and added: “I believe I’m closer to the NBA than ever before”.

Gudaitis is averaging 12.9 points and 7.3 rebounds this season in the EuroLeague. He also has 14.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per LBA Serie A 2018-19 game.
