NBA announced the rosters of this year’s Rising Star Game, later added that Kyrie Irving and Dirk Nowitzki will serve as the honorary coaches for the USA and World Team, respectively.
Luka Doncic will play at the Spectrum Center alongside fellow Europeans Bogdan Bogdanovic, Lauri Markkanen and Cedi Osman. His Dallas Mavericks teammate will turn into his coach for one night.
The 19-year-old Slovenian commented on the unique situation via Twitter asking Nowitzki to be kind with him: “Don’t be yelling at me please”. However, the 40-year-old German already set his boundaries warning: “You gotta earn your minutes, son”.
