Nets beat Sixers in first playoff game since 2015

The Brooklyn Nets celebrated their return to the playoffs for the first time since the 2014-2015 season with a 111 – 102 away win over the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.

D’Angelo Russell scored 26 points with 10/15 shots from the field. Caris LeVert added 23 points and Spencer Dinwiddie 18 for the Nets.

Latvian forward Rodions Kurucs was a starter for the Nets in the first NBA playoffs game of his career. The rookie didn’t make any attempts and finished with zero points, plus three rebounds and a steal.

On the other side, Boban Marjanovic had 13 points and four assists in 15 minutes. Jeremy Butler scored a game-high 33 and Joel Embiid posted 22 points (5/15 f.g.), 15 rebounds and four assists.
