After missing a large chunk of the Golden State Warriors 2019 NBA Playoffs run, Kevin Durant got back in action on Monday. However, he only played 12 minutes before picking up an injury once again. GM, Bob Myers, broke into tears revealing that the 30-year-old American forward suffered an Achilles injury.

Per ESPN, The Warriors fear the MRI scheduled for Tuesday will confirm the torn right Achilles. Despite his early exit, his side defeated the Toronto Raptors to force Game 6 at the Oracle Arena on Thursday. However, it seems like the defending champions will have to continue their comeback effort without Durant.

“Kevin Durant loves to play basketball and the people that questioned whether he wanted to get back to this team were wrong. He’s one of the most misunderstood people. He’s a good teammate. He’s a good person. It’s not fair. I’m lucky to know him” Myers mentioned after Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
