Goran Dragic has picked the 2019-2020 option on his contract with the Miami Heat and will thus stay with the team for the upcoming season according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

By exercising the option, Dragic will earn 19.2M next season.

Back in April, Dragic had said that he will choose whether he’ll stay with the Heat or not after considering “a lot of factors” since the decision would require “a lot of talks.” The 33-year-old Slovenian player had undergone surgery in December to fix some persistent knee problems.

Dragic played 36 games in 2017-2018. He averaged 13.6 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.1 rebounds.
