Philadelphia 76ers guard Ben Simmons has agreed to a five-year maximum contract extension worth 170 million dollars, according to Shams Charania.

Simmons has recently been reported ‘doubtful’ to play for Australia in the FIBA World Cup this summer as he is more likely to spend his full offseason preparing only for the Sixers season.

The 22-year-old Australian averaged 16.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game this past season in which Philadelphia reached the Eastern Conference semifinals where they got eliminated by the Raptors.
