Former EuroLeague champ Rogers hired by Wizards as VP of pro personnel

Former two-time EuroLeague champion Johnny Rogers is being hired by the Washington Wizards as the vice president of pro personnel, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe.

Rogers was a director pro player personnel with the L.A. Clippers before the Wizard appointed him to the aforementioned position.

During his career as a player, Rogers, a forward, spent 15 years in Europe. He played in Real Madrid, Valencia and Olympiacos before moving to Panathinaikos in 1999. With the latter, he won the EuroLeague titles of 2000 and 2002.

Rogers worked for EuroLeague Basketball and EuroLeague TV for a couple of years after his retirement from playing basketball.
