Luka Doncic sets more NBA records in triple-double duel vs. Lebron

Luka Doncic became the youngest player to register a triple-double against the Los Angeles Lakers Friday (11/10).

Doncic posted 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 13 assists in 38 minutes in the Dallas Mavericks’ 119 – 110 loss to Lebron James (39 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists) and co. in American Airlines Center. It was the 10th career triple-double for the 20-year-old Slovenian player who has already set a record for the most triple-doubles by a player under 21.

Per ESPN Stats & Info, Doncic also became the youngest player to notch a triple-double against a Lebron team. Per NBA, Doncic is now the youngest player with a triple-double that includes 30 points and 15 assists.

Kristaps Porzingis added 16 points and nine rebounds for the Mavericks. Maxi Kleber had eight points and seven boards and Boban Marjanovic four points and seven rebounds in 11 minutes off the bench.

In Orlando, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 29 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and dished out six assists to push the Milwaukee Bucks back to victories (123 – 91 over the Magic). Ersan Ilyasova contributed 10 points and five rebounds off the bench for Milwaukee’s win.

Evan Fournier dropped a team-high 19 points while Nikola Vucevic finished with 14 points and seven rebounds for the Magic.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo scored his first points of the NBA season in an impressive manner. It was a much-enjoyed play by his brother Giannis and the rest of the Bucks.

 

Speaking of game-winning double-double performances, Domantas Sabonis finished with 18 points and 17 rebounds along with four assists as the Indiana Pacers defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 102 – 95 to capture their first home victory of the season.

Cedi Osman had 10 points and four rebounds for the Cavs.

Nemanja Bjelica and Bogdan Bogdanovic helped the Sacramento Kings snap a five-game skid and get their first win of 2019-2020 by beating the Utah Jazz 102 – 101.

It was a fine performance for Bogdanovic who scored 14 points with 3/6 3-pointers and 5/8 from the field overall in 25 minutes off the bench. Bjelica finished with a game-high +14 in +/- after hitting 3/6 3-pointers to score 11 points while grabbing six rebounds. He missed the game-winning attempt from beyond the arc with seconds remaining but Harrison Barnes got the offensive rebound to score the bucket that granted Kings the victory.

Rudy Gobert had 15 points and 16 rebounds while Bojan Bogdanovic tallied 17 points and six boards for the Jazz that dropped to 4-2.
