From setting up a blowout to rallying from a three-point deficit in crunch time, Wolves Twinsbet defeated Zalgiris, 97-93 in Twinsbet Arena on Sunday.

Fueling a seventh consecutive win in Lithuania’s Betsafe LKL, Rasheed Sulaimon ended up with 27 points behind 8/14 field goals, including 4/7 from beyond the arc. Upgraded to a starter in this third game since recovering from a serious knee injury, Arturs Zagars chipped in 16 points. Jeffery Taylor piled up 14 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Against his former team, Regimantas Miniotas posted a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double.

For the visitors, former Texas Tech standout Keenan Evans was limited to 4/13 field goals in a team-high showing of 19 points. Edgaras Ulanovas followed with 14 points. Laurynas Birutis and Edmond Sumner logged 12 points each. Joining Karolis Lukosiunas (back) and Arnas Butkevicius (ankle) on the injury list, the Kaunas outfit announced Tomas Dimsa was sidelined due to neck pain shortly before tipoff.

Having clinched first place in the Regular Season before the penultimate fixture of the schedule, Andrea Trinchieri’s side secured homecourt advantage throughout the Playoffs, from a best-of-three series in the Quarterfinals to a potential best-of-five series the rest of the way.

Wolves have been placed in the third seed of the postseason bracket. Rytas sits in the second spot and Uniclub Casino – Juventus is fourth. 7Bet-Lietkabelis and Neptunas are battling for the fifth seed, while the seventh will go to M Basket-Delamode or CBet.
