Boban Marjanović has found his next destination, signing a short-term deal with Philippine club Strong Group Athletics (SGA).
While the team’s initials match those of back-to-back NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the resemblance ends there. SGA simply stands for Strong Group Athletics.
The 37-year-old Serbian center will represent the club at the prestigious William Jones Cup in Taiwan, one of the most respected international tournaments in East Asia.
Marjanović spent last season playing in the ABA League with Slovenian side Ilirija. Now, the 224-centimeter giant will continue his career in the basketball-crazy Philippines for the upcoming tournament.
