CBA Weekly European Report: Raduljica and Bourousis advance

The CBA 2018-19 season will enter its quarterfinals stage next week. The preliminary playoffs round added four more teams to the next stage with Justin Hamilton, Miroslav Raduljica, Eugene Jeter and Giannis Bourousis advancing. Eurohoops’ Weekly European Report on European action in the Chinese League includes Maciej Lampe and Donatas Motiejunas, but their clubs were eliminated with the latter expected to extend his 2018-19 campaign in the NBA.

Croatian-American Hamilton led the European bunch this week with 38.5 points for the Beijing Ducks that advance over the Shanghai Sharks and will face off with the Shenzhen Leopards in the best-of-five quarterfinals series. Lampe finished second with 35.5 points per contest, but the Jilin Northeast Tigers were taken out by the Fujian Sturgeons with Jeter averaging 24 points for the winning side.

Miroslav Raduljica had 30 points per match for the Jiangsu Dragons that overcame the Shandong Golden Stars and Motiejunas to advance. Their next opponent will be the top-seeded Guangdong Southern Tigers. Giannis Bourousis notched 16 points and 10.7 rebounds per game and the Zhejiang Lions eliminated the Zhejiang Golden Bulls to secure a matchup versus the Xinjiang Flying Tigers and Darius Adams.
