Heurtel scores French League career-high, ASVEL beats Nanterre

Thomas Heurtel scored a French League career-high 23 points to lead ASVEL Villeurbanne to a 96 – 92 overtime win over Nanterre 92 in a postponed game for Round 6.

Heurtel dropped nine of his points in the extra period to push ASVEL towards getting the victory. Apart from his league and season scoring record, he finished with seven rebounds and four assists.

Isaia Cordinier stood out from Nanterre with 25 points and five boards. Marquise Reed had 21 points plus five rebounds while Chris Warren scored 13, including the basket that forced the extra period.

Apart from Heurtel, Norris Cole contributed 16 points, Moustapha Fall dropped 15 points and David Lighty 13 for ASVEL.
