Isaia Cordinier posts rare triple-double in France

By Eurohoops team / info@eurohoops.net

Isaia Cordinier posted 20 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds in 35 minutes for his first career triple-double in an official game to lead Nanterre 92 to a 115 – 77 win over Pau Orthez in the French League. It’s quite the achievement since triple-doubles are an unusual phenomenon in European basketball.

Thanks to this win, Nanterre improved to 10-15. Orthez dropped to 9 – 16.

Cordinier had previously notched a triple-double in a preparation match vs. Boulazac in September. The 24-year-old swingman then had 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a 91 – 77 win.

The last player to record a triple-double in the French League was Boulogne Levallois forward Donta Smith when he registered 13 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in a 116 – 108 loss to Roanne in February 2020.
