Villeurbanne takes the top seed, Monaco finishes second

Clinching the top seed of the playoff bracket, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne earned the 79-70 victory versus Limoges CSP Tuesday evening.

Towering center Youssoupha Fall paired 17 points with eight rebounds, both game-highs in the Betclic Elite LNB Pro A Regular Season Round 34 contest. NBA draft prospect Victor Wembanyama did not suit up for the team coached by T.J. Parker.

On a mission to clinch a berth in the Playoffs, Cholet got the job done by defeating AS Monaco, 92-85. Outscoring La Roca Team, 30-14, in the third period was key. Yoan Makoundou registered a season-high 27 points. On the losing end, Mike James had 19 points.

Settling for the third seed, Boulogne Metropolitans 92 was on the receiving end of a heavy defeat, 81-65, to Paris. The winning side staved off relegation. Also facing the threat of being relegated to the second division, Deishuan Booker poured 33 points leading Fos-sur-Mer past ESSM Le Portel, 83-79. Orleans beat BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque, 90-87, but became the second team relegated following Champagne.
