Okobo, ASVEL get past Dijon for 1-0 under the watchful eyes of the Antetokounmpo brothers

With all the Antetokounmpo brothers in Lyon, ASVEL built up a strong lead in the first half to beat Dijon 81-68 in Game 1 of the French League semifinals.

ASVEL’s defensive plan kept Dijon at just two points seven minutes into the second quarter, allowing TJ Parker’s squad to build up a 22-point lead at halftime (54-22) and managed to retain their lead for the remainder of the game.

Elie Okobo scored 15 points to go along with 5 rebounds and William Howard added 14 points and 5 rebounds to lead ASVEL to victory, while Chris Jones tapped 13 points.

On the opposing end, David Holston had 17 points for Dijon, Rashard Kelly followed with 12 points and six rebounds and Gavin Ware added 11 points.

The series remains in Lyon for Game 2 (June 3, 21:00 local time), where ASVEL will seek a 2-0 lead.
