Victor Wembanyama had 23 points and 14 rebounds with some seconds left in the regulation of the playoffs game between Boulogne-Levallois and Cholet. He would’ve put up even more numbers in overtime but Cholet’s Dominic Artis had other plans.

Artis hit a huge tough triple to beat the buzzer and give Cholet an 83 – 80 win that tied the French League quarterfinal series at 1-1 and forced a Game 3.

Wembanyama made 6-15 two-pointers, 1-5 triples and 8-10 from the line.  He also committed five turnovers. Tashawn Thomas added 14 points for the Mets.

As for Cholet, Artis finished with 16 points while Neal Sako had 19 points and 11 rebounds.

In the meantime, reigning champion ASVEL Villeurbanne moved to the semifinals by beating Le Mans 66 – 63 in Game 2. Retin Obasohan led the winning side with 16 points.
