AS Monaco defeated Paris Basketball 92 – 85 on the road in a French League game to bounce back to wins after three straight losses in the EuroLeague, two days after a blowout defeat to Panathinaikos Athens.

Mike James had 19 points, seven assists and five rebounds while hitting a very important triple down the stretch to push his team towards win. Paris had come back from down 66 – 86 halfway through the fourth period but made a major comeback attempt to approach 81 – 86 with 1:53 remaining.

That was when James drained the 3-pointer from the corner to put his team up by eight and then Jordan Loyd added a bucket of his own to push back Paris for good.

Loyd finished with 17 points while Donta Hall had 16 points and five rebounds for Monaco that remains the team to beat in France, now 17 – 1.
