Tiago Splitter opened up about his confirmed move to the Portland Trail Blazers before concluding his 2024-25 journey with Paris.

After leading his side to a 1-0 lead in France’s Betclic Elite Finals 2025 on Sunday, he downplayed the situation surrounding his current club and his future as an assistant coach under Chauncey Billups.

“We got a job to do and these guys look me eye to eye, I look eye to eye, I’m honest to them. And we just go compete,” he shared the team’s approach to a best-of-five series against back-to-back defending LNB champion AS Monaco.

“You guys want a quote so bad,” the former player reacted to an additional question about the Blazers during the postgame press conference.

“No, it’s not weird,” he stressed, “I’m just doing my job here.”

Meanwhile, the head coach of Monaco, Vassilis Spanoulis, confirmed Daniel Theis is dealing with a knee injury, which will prevent him from returning to action during the Finals.
