ASVEL kicks off the playoffs with a home win (73-67). A close victory against Cholet puts them up 1-0 in the LNB quarterfinals.
Melvin Ajinça led the win with 16 points. Amadou Sow added 14. ASVEL dominated the first half. Without much success from three-point range in the first two quarters (3/15), the French team attacked the paint before the break (42-30).
Cholet reacted in the second half after a great 11-19 run in the third quarter (53-49). Cholet was up by 2 with 3 minutes remaining (64-66), but ASVEL bounced back in the final minutes to start the playoffs with a thrilling win.
