The Turkish Basketball Federation announced that the 2021 Cup competition won’t take place due to the hectic calendar amid the COVID-19 crisis.

The announcement mentions that the Federation accepted the requests by the clubs to not hold the Cup tournament this year following meetings held with the officials of the Men and Women teams of Turkey’s top divisions. The clubs asked for the competition to not take place because of games being suspended due to the pandemic which increases the intensity and adds complications to their schedule.

The Turkish Cup has been held with a Final 8 tournament. Fenerbahce Beko is the current title holder.
