Efes survives a thrilling end on the road

Anadolu Efes completes the comeback in time to secure a thrilling victory on the road against Mersin. Pablo Laso’s team fought until the final seconds to get the away win, their third in a row in the domestic competition.

Shane Larkin (20 points) was the top scorer for Efes. Jordan Loyd added 16 points, and Vincent Poirier scored 13 points plus 9 rebounds. Rolands Smits, Nick Weiler-Babb, Isaia Cordinier, and Georgios Papagiannis (knee) did not play for Laso’s team.

Anadolu Efes set the tone in the first quarter, shooting well from beyond the arc, but the local team fought back in the second quarter to tie things up (50-52).

Mesin led the game in the fourth quarter. With 20 seconds on the clock, everything was on the line (86-86), and Efes got the win in the last seconds (86-88) to keep climbing in the standings (19-10)
