Kostas Sloukas scored four straight points with 27 seconds left to give a 92-88 advantage. Bradley Wanamaker also did his part in crunch time as Fenerbahce Dogus got the overtime 98-93 win over Banvit and the 2-0 lead in the BSL semifinals.

Wanamaker finished the game with 24 points and five assists, while Sloukas added 18 points and seven assists. For the losing side, Andy Rautins scored 22 points, as Banvit almost got the win in regulation in what was a close game from wire to wire.

Fenerbahce closed the first half leading by two (38-36) and by four at the end of the third (60-56). The hosts started the last period with a 4-0 run (64-56) but an amazing offensive display by Rautins gave to Banvit the 70-69 lead.

Adonis Thomas added a big three that made the score 73-69 in favor of the guests with four minutes left in the game.

Two minutes later, after two free throws by Angelo Caloiaro, Banvit got a five-point advantage (77-72). Still, Fenerbahce reacted and made a one-point game (77-76).

Damian Kulig answered with a two-pointer (79-76), Nicolo Melli cut it again to one (79-78) with two free throws and 21 seconds left and Fenerbahce was forced to foul in the next possession in order to stop the clock. Tony Taylor made one of two free throws (80-78) and Wanamaker tied the game at 80, nine seconds before the final buzzer, and sent it to overtime.

In the extra time, everything was decided by Sloukas and Wanamaker in the closing seconds. The series moves to Banvit’s home court for Game 3 and Fenerbahce needs only win in order to advance.
