Vasilije Micic, Efes grab overtime win vs. Fenerbahce

Anadolu Efes managed to bounce back and prevail 101-93 over Fenerbahce Beko after overtime in Game 2 of the Turkish League Finals. The best-of-seven series is now tied at 1-1.

Vasilije Micic nailed career-high 30 points in nearly 42 minutes of play while Shane Larkin added 19 in addition to Bryant Dunston’s 15 points.

Nikola Kalinic banked two points for Fenerbahce to tie the game at 86 with 46 seconds left. Micic missed a triple for Efes while Nicolo Melli missed a two-pointer for Fener and the game went into overtime.

Efes managed to nail two shots from deep in the overtime which sparked their 9-2 run (95-88) from which Fenerbahce couldn’t recover.

Nicolo Melli scored 22 points for Fener followed by Marko Guduric’s 18 and Bobby Dixon’s 17 points.

Fenerbahce was ahead 20-14 after ten minutes and 52-40 at halftime but Efes slowly bounced back. They grabbed their first lead of the game midway through the fourth quarter (75-74) and brought the game to an interesting finish in which they eventually came out on top.
