Shane Larkin finished the season as Turkish BSL league champion with Anadolu Efes. The American guard scored a career-high 38 points (surpassing his 37-point EuroLeague regular season performance vs. Barcelona) in the Game 7 win over Fenerbahce Beko, to lead his team to its first championship title in 10 years.

This was also the first championship title for Larkin. “Call me champ. What a way to end the season. Very proud of the way we fought this year and finally got what we deserved,” he wrote on Instagram.

2018-2019 was possibly the most successful season in the history of Efes. The Turkish team made the EuroLeague Final for the first time ever, behind Larkin’s 30-point display in the semifinal win over Fenerbahce. On Friday (21/6), Efes celebrated its first championship since 2009.
