CSKA defeated UNICS (11-7) at home, 92-88 and protected its top spot in the standings (with a 16-2 record), behind great performances by Nando De Colo (23 points) and Milos Teodosic’s double-double of 19 points and 10 assists.

The hosts took an early 22-13 lead, sparked by Teodosic’s magic playmaking, yet UNICS battled back, cutting the deficit to 4 points, 23-19, at the end of the first period.

A feast of 3-pointers to start the 2nd quarter, capped by Latavious Williams’s dunk, put the visitors ahead, 35-33, midway through the second period. The Kazan side finished with 7 3-pointers in the quarter. Still, CSKA was up 50-47 at halftime.

Even when the visitors grabbed the lead in the final minutes of the last period, CSKA stood strong and prevailed.
