Valencia point guard Sergio de Larrea was named the Best Young Player of the 2025–26 Liga Endesa Regular Season on Sunday.

The 20-year-old Spanish playmaker secured the award, presented by Azulmarino, by historic margins, crushing the competition with an astonishing 203.4 total voting points. His dominance was total and unprecedented, sweeping nearly every single ballot category, earning a perfect 51 points each from the popular vote, coaches, and players, alongside 50.4 points from the press. With this landslide victory, he comfortably doubled the score of runner-up Michael Ruzic to succeed Jean Montero and join an illustrious list of previous award winners that includes NBA star Luka Doncic and current international standouts like Juancho Hernangomez and Usman Garuba.

His individual campaign was further honored by headlining the Best Young Five alongside Rafa Villar, Izan Almansa, Bassala Bagayoko, and Ruzic.

The Valladolid native truly blossomed this season, establishing himself as a vital player for the Taronges, combining his domestic campaign with the EuroLeague. Over 34 ACB appearances, he averaged 9.6 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game, while managing an impressive 12.7 efficiency rating in under 20 minutes of action. His stellar analytical impact was further underlined by finishing third in the entire league in plus-minus, boasting a remarkable average of +7.15.

De Larrea set the tone for his memorable campaign back in September when he led Valencia past Real Madrid to lift the Supercopa Endesa trophy, earning Most Valuable Player honors after a clutch performance in the championship game, shortly following solid showings with the senior national team of Spain in EuroBasket 2025.

Building on this exceptional momentum, the 6-foot-6 guard has officially declared as an early entry prospect for the 2026 NBA Draft. He is widely projected as a surging late-first to early-second-round selection.
