Ulm has made a few reinforcements to its guards for the upcoming season by acquiring two players from fellow German clubs.
29-year-old Thompson moved to Ulm from Bonn, where he spent the previous season, averaging 13.7 points, 3.1 assists and 2.1 rebounds.
German/Turkish point guard Ismet Akpinar, 22, played for Alba Berlin since 2013, when he began his professional career. This season, he received the BBL Best German Young Player award by the league.
