Saso Filipovski is no longer the coach of Partizan NIS as the sides agreed on the early contract termination, the club announced.

Filipovski, 46, took over the team based in Belgrade in November replacing Vlado Scepanovic for the first head coaching change of the 2020-21 season. He since guided Partizan to the 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16.

However, nine losses in the last eleven games across all competitions have forced the team into a challenging spot in both EuroCup and the ABA League. The Serbian team is currently 2-3 in EuroCup Group F and 7-12 in ABA.

His position will be taken over by Aleksandar Matovic who’s been a part of the staff since 2017 and worked before that with the younger selections of the club. He will be assisted by Dejan Mijatovic.
