By Eurohoops team / info@eurohoops.net

After a tight battle, ASVEL Villeurbanne made things easy in the end and prevailed over Dolomiti Energia Trento with 79-67 and improved to a 3-3 record, while the Italian side sunk to 2-4.

Turning point: A three-pointer by John Roberson expanded Asvel’s lead to 7 points with three minutes to go and was enough to help the hosts keep their initiative until the end.

Asvel managed to get ahead with 18-17 after the first period, thanks to Alpha Kaba who gave his team the lead towards its end. It was Kaba again who helped the French side stay up by 3 at halftime, by making the score 39-36.

The hosts were constantly in the lead in the second half and even pulled away by 65-59, yet the Italian side wasn’t willing to give up yet.

The star: Amine Noua finished the game with 15 points for the winners.
