Corey Walden reportedly moving to Crvena Zvezda

Corey Walden is close to a deal with Crvena Zvezda for next season, after paying the buy-out on his contract with Partizan that was valid through another season, as reported by nova.rs.

Partizan released a statement concerning the player on their website which confirmed the news of Warden paying his buy-out and exiting the club.

“Corey Walden decided to accept the offer of another club, which is significantly higher financially, and he pays his buy-out. Partizan will look for another solution in the position that remained vacant. At the same time, the club thanks Walden for everything he did during the 2019/20 season and wishes him luck in the continuation of his career “, the black and whites announced on the official website.

27-year-old Walden posted an average of 6.5 points with 3.3 assists per game during the 7DAYS EuroCup regular season, while his numbers went up to 9.8 points, 2.8 assists per game during the Top 16 phase. The American guard also averaged 8.9 points with 1.8 assists in ABA League this season prior to its cancellation.
