Zach LeDay officially inks two-year deal with Olimpia Milano

Shortly after Zalgiris Kaunas confirmed his departure, Zach LeDay officially joined AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milano. The Dallas-born big inked a two-year contract, as previously reported by Eurohoops.

Per Olimpia Milano: Olimpia Milano agreed on a 2-year contract with Zach LeDay, 2.02 mt., power forward, born on May 30, 1994, in Dallas, Texas, coming from Zalgiris Kaunas. “I’m very grateful for the opportunity to come to the city of Milano and begin working with such a great organization and alongside great players and coaches – LeDay said -. HIS CAREER – Raised in Dallas, Zach LeDay attended the Skyline High School and moved to The Colony High School before his senior year. After spending two years at South Florida, he transferred to Virginia Tech for his last two college seasons. During the first year, he averaged 15.5 points per game and grabbed 7.9 rebounds per game. In his senior season, he averaged 17.0 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. In 2017, he was included in the All-ACC Tournament second team. In 2017, he began his professional career in Israele, playing for Hapoel Gilboa where he averaged 19.5 points per game (second-leading scorer in the Israeli league) and 8.2 rebounds (fifth overall). He was second for index rating and blocked shots. The following season, he moved to Olympiacos Piraeus. In the EuroLeague, he averaged 9.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game (11.2 points and 4.9 rebounds in the Greek league). In 2019 he moved to Zalgiris Kaunas where he averaged 11.8 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in his second EuroLeague season and conquered both the Lithuanian championship and National Cup.

NOTES – He appeared in the Israelian All-Star Game during the 2017/18 season. He was the Round 10 EuroLeague’s MVP during the 2018/19 season. At Olympiacos, his general manager was Christos Stavropoulos.”
