Bayern Munich forward Paul Zipser underwent a successful surgery for brain hemorrhage Wednesday (9/6), per Sport 1.

Zipser complained to be dizzy near the end of the German League semifinal series against MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg. His neurological examinations revealed a spontaneous brain hemorrhage that required emergency operation.

“Paul is doing well under these circumstances, we don’t want to say anything more about this,” commented Bayern Munich Media Director Andreas Bunkert. “We also ask the public for understanding that we will respect Paul and his family’s privacy.”

Zipser was averaging 11.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals in the German League before he was sidelined.
