Nemanja Bjelica expected to be ready for Fenerbahce near the start of the season

While Tarık Biberovic, Tonye Jekiri, and Jonathan Motley are facing light injuries and head coach Dimitris Itoudis, like also Marko Guduric and Nick Calathes, are expected in Istanbul from the start of this week, the main issue for the club remains Nemanja Bjelica’s injury.

Like Biberovic and Jekiri, Bjelica did not travel to Bursa for the preparation tournament in which Fenerbahce is currently playing.

They all stayed in Istanbul for rehabilitation and the news is good for Bjelica. The NBA champions with the Golden State Warriors, who suffered a right calf injury during Serbia’s training camp for the European Championship, has already joined Fenerbahce and after a new re-evaluation of his condition, he is expected to return to action in two to three weeks. In theory, Bjelica may even be ready for the start of the season in EuroLeague.

Biberovic, who has a right leg hamstring injury, and Jekiri, who has a groin injury, will be re-evaluated after the return of the team from Bursa.
