Partizan Belgrade is the latest team that appears to be a suitor for Nikola Mirotic. According to Sport Klub, the 2023 ABA League champions are monitoring the developments of Mirotic’s expected exit from Barcelona, being interested in signing him.
While Mirotic is under contract with Barcelona until 2025, the club has decided to proceed without him and the two sides are in negotiations on the matter. Partizan is one of the clubs that’s keeping an eye on the situation, together with their Serbian rival Crvena Zvezda, Olympiacos Piraeus and AS Monaco, especially if they lose big man Donta Hall to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Partizan may not have the financial capacity of clubs like Olympiacos and Monaco but will look to have a strong roster with the ambition to make the Final Four. The team has managed to sign star guard Kevin Punter to a new contract and will try to make extra quality additions in the offseason.
