Thomas Walkup is a safe option for EuroLeague Fantasy

Extending our EuroLeague Fantasy tips focuses on Thomas Walkup.

Diving in Round 4 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season and the bottom end of the first two-game week of the 2023-24 installment, we make Walkup our main pick. Nigel Williams-Goss being cleared to return to action and set to cut into his playing time does not scare us.

On our tips before Round 3, we presented the options of Nikola Milutinov, Scottie Wilbekin, and Luca Banchi. Two out of three were successful bids.

The Italian tactician earning a win with Virtus Segafredo Bologna added twenty points to our tally. The Serbian center confirmed excellent form with a PIR of 21. However, Wilbekin did not deliver for us. Well, we can’t be ungrateful.

Moving to Round 4, Walkup is our main pick, despite Williams-Goss boosting an additional wing option for head coach Giorgos Bartzokas. The 30-year-old guard generated 18 Fantasy points in Round 3. He is currently averaging 35 minutes per contest. At 11.7 units, he is indeed expensive but worth the effort.

On overlooking the playing time situation, Walkup tends to peak with a balanced role in the rotation. Dealing with fatigue late in the Round 2 contest opposite FC Barcelona, he was held to his worst Fantasy showing of the season.

His contribution expands to many stats beyond scoring. Facing Partizan Mozzart Bet at home, we don’t expect the Reds to be limited to under 70-75 points in offense. Naturally, many assists will be dished out by Walkup. Points as well.

Investing in one of the most consistent guards of the EuroLeague is a safe option.

More picks

Alongside Walkup, we placed Nicolas Laprovittola of undefeated Barcelona. He is among the best Fantasy players of the season so far!

We retained ALBA Berlin’s Johannes Thiemann. Adding him to our squad cost eight units. His price has since jumped to 9.5 units. But he remains a good pickup.

Virtus Bologna’s Tornike Shengelia is still our captain. He has been brilliant so far.

It is not too late to add Partizan’s Aleksa Avramovic, a cheap and productive option.
