Jaleen Smith officially joined Partizan leaving Virtus Bologna

Jaleen Smith is the new reinforcement of Partizan Mozart Bet as the club has officially announced, leaving Virtus Bologna by mutual consent.

The former Virtus player signed a contract with the black and white team this afternoon, valid until the end of the 2023-24 season.

The new guard of Partizan was born on November 24, 1994, and before Virtus, he played two seasons in Alba Berlin and Ludwigsburg. After graduating from New Hampshire College, Smith began his professional career in 2017 in Heidelberg, Germany.

In the Euroleague, Jaleen Smith gets the right to play for Virtus in the 18th round, when ASVEL will arrive at Stark Arena. During two and a half seasons in the best European competition, Smith, playing for ALBA and Virtus, averaged 9.1 points and had 2.2 assists with 2.3 rebounds.

However, he has practically fallen out of rotation in Italy and was willing to change environment. Per Eurohoops sources, ALBA Berlin was also interested in a possible re-union.

In Partizan, he will wear the number 0 on his jersey.
