Legendary Serbian playmaker Milos Teodosic officially returned to Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet, one year after ending his playing days, in a powerful new administrative role. Confirming recent projections about a new role with the Belgrade outfit, he was formally appointed as the club’s new sports director on Wednesday.

The 38-year-old Valjevo native is transitioning to the front office as the chief operative of the sports sector, following productive discussions and reaching an agreement with club president Zeljko Drcelic. In his assignment, he aims to help strengthen the EuroLeague participants for upcoming campaigns. He is expected to operate with the full authority of a sports director, bringing his unparalleled basketball IQ and veteran leadership back to his boyhood club.

After calling it a day at the end of the 2024-25 season, following a 21-year professional run, the Serbian icon initially elected to take a year-long hiatus to rest. Building upon a fairytale final playing stint in Belgrade between 2023 and 2025, he has now answered the call to guide the Zvezda from the executive suite.

Before bringing his career full circle, the maestro shaped one of the most decorated international resumes in modern history. His legacy includes winning a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague championship with CSKA in the 2015-16 edition of the EuroLeague, capturing the Most Valuable Player nod for the 2009-10 Regular Season with Olympiacos, playing in the NBA with the Los Angeles Clippers, and leading the Serbian national team to an Olympic silver medal as its longtime captain.
