Legendary Serbian playmaker Milos Teodosic is poised to return to Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet in a prominent front-office role, exactly one year after concluding his illustrious 21-year playing career.
According to a report by Serbian sports outlet Meridian Sport on Tuesday, the 38-year-old Valjevo native has reached a mutual agreement with club president Zeljko Drcelic to join the sports sector, aiming to strengthen the Serbian powerhouse for the upcoming seasons.
Following his retirement from the court, Teodosic initially received an invitation to remain with the club but elected to take a year-long hiatus to rest. Crvena Zvezda extended a new invitation this year, leading to productive discussions that paved the way for his return.
While his precise administrative title has not yet been finalized, the basketball icon is expected to take on a significant role within the executive hierarchy, potentially operating as a sports director or a high-profile club ambassador.
This transition marks a new executive chapter, building upon a fairytale final playing stint in Belgrade between 2023 and 2025. Veteran leadership added to his Zvezda legacy.
Before bringing his career full circle, the Maestro shaped a tremendous international resume. His decorated past includes winning the Most Valuable Player award in the 2009-10 edition of the EuroLeague with Olympiacos, capturing a championship with CSKA in 2016, playing in the NBA with the Los Angeles Clippers for two years, from 2017 to 2019, and earning an Olympic silver medal as the longtime captain of the Serbian national team.
