Recently, many rumors surrounding Thomas Walkup’s future at Olympiacos have been published, following Eurohoops’ report about Dubai’s interest in the player.

At the moment, per Eurohoops sources, the situation is as follows.

Walkup has one more year of contract until the summer of 2027 with a net salary of $1,1M and no buyout included in the deal.

Dubai’s interest is a reality, and the club intends to offer him $6M for a two-year contract until the summer of 2028.

At the same time, the club is willing to pay $1M to buy out his contract with the EuroLeague champions; however, Olympiacos is asking for $3M.

Olympiacos and the player will continue the talks, even though the idea of leaving Greece after five years seems to be maturing in Walkup’s mind. However, this is a decision that entirely depends on the club.

In any case, the player’s priority remains an extension with Olympiacos, and the two sides have already met many times to discuss this possibility.

And no matter what happens in the end, Olympiacos still has the first and last word on the future of the player.
