In a high-quality game, Panathinaikos beat PAOK 87-81 in the final of the “Pavlos Giannakopoulos” prep tournament, just a few days before their Greek Supercup semifinal.
Sylvain Francisco, with 17 points, was the Panathinaikos top scorer, while Cedi Osman led PAOK with 16 points, scoring 11 of them in the second half.
PAOK led by one (81-80) with less than two minutes to play, but didn’t score after that.
In the third-place game of the tournament, Partizan got an easy 101-77 win over Bourg, with Luca Vildoza scoring 18 points.
The French EuroCup winners were trailing by four at halftime (49-45), but at the end of the third period, Partizan led by 24 (82-58).
Last but not least, Anadolu Efes got the 91-79 prep win over Unics Kazan in the VTB United League SuperCup, with Mike James finishing the night with 17 points.
