In their do-or-die meeting, Crvena Zvezda survived in Belgrade against Valencia Basket and prevailed with 106-90 in Round 26 of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

James Feldeine was the Serbian squad’s hero in this crucial game. He set a new career high in scoring, leading the winning side with 30 points, three rebounds and two steals, while he also matched his best index rating with 32 points of evaluation.

Feldeine, 29, one of Zvezda’s sharpest shooters (4 out of 6 from downtown tonight), sounded the alarm for his team at the end of the third period, as they managed to pull away for the first time in the game with 79-67. Since that point, there was no turning back, as the Serbians accelerated and held tightly to the victory.

Adding to his work, Taylor Rochestie and Matthias Lessort teamed up perfectly and contributed 17 and 16 points each, showing no mercy to Valencia’s defense.

With this loss, things get tougher for the Spanish team, as the Serbians are now closer to clinching the much-desired playoffs’ spot. Crvena Zvezda moved up to an 11-15 record, while Valencia’s chances are slim (9-17).
