After signing a 1+1 year deal with Zalgiris, Thomas Walkup arrived in Kaunas and is currently getting ready for the upcoming season.
In his first interview as a Zalgiris’ player, Walkup is looking forward to the start of the season: “It’s been a long time coming. Obviously, I have been looking forward to this. I’m happy to be here. Last year was my first year overseas; I had not done a lot of research. It’s an awesome club, and I’m excited.”
Walkup also talked about Zalgiris’ head coach, Sarunas Jasikevicius and the conversation the two had: “Talked about what he expects, what type of guys he wants here, and I think I’m the perfect fit for him. I’m very versatile, can play all over the court, offensively and defensively.”
