Mike James: We must focus on Panathinaikos

Mike James poured a career-high 35 points, but Milan lost to Real Madrid in EuroLeague Regular Season Round 27 action. Following Wednesday’s game he talked to Eurohoops about his team’s defeat, the playoffs and the upcoming game against his former team Panathinaikos OPAP.

“We had the chance to win, which would be big for making the playoffs. Some things didn’t go our way” he initially mentioned.

On his massive scoring performance: “A couple of shots went in early and I got confidence. They’re a tough team, so you have to be aggressive from the beginning”.

Asked about the controversial no-call down the stretch of the match versus the Whites, James explained: “It’s not up to me. Obviously they didn’t call it”.

Up next our the Greens: “We got to win at least two of the last three. We have to focus on the next one against Panathinaikos at home”.

The 28-year-old American guard also rejected the notion about this game being special: “I can’t really think about that. It’s playoffs time and I got to be ready”.
